I flew South African Airways (SAA) from Hong Kong to Johannesburg. I felt a little silly as I boarded the aircraft and presented my boarding pass.
I was greeted so warmly in a typical South African accent, and I found myself smiling so broadly!
I met two other South Africans (English teachers) on the flight. One of the girls was listening intently to the flight attendants speaking to another passenger, and I watched her break into a smile. I know the feeling too well.
The flight very long. Food was OK. Didn't get my vegetarian option on the SAA flight - even though I requested this through my agent. But it wasn't a big deal. I knocked back an Amarula on the rocks and went to sleep!
My netbook came in handy - I wrote a few blog entries. And then watched a Bollywood film, DOSTANA. Started watching SARAFINA, but then we were about to land in about 40 mins.
All in all, I was pretty impressed with SAA's service.
Hello & welcome to my humble cyber abode. I write about many things - My life as an English teacher, finding my path in life, gadgets, travel, friends, food, love...anything & everything! Thanks for visiting, and please don't leave without leaving a message for me!
