We are picked up at the hotel at 05;00. Our flight is at 07;00. I seem to be awake and fresh after my 04:30 shower, but I soon lose steam on the ride to the airport.


We're flying Egypt Air and even though the flight is about 1hr30mins, the only thing we are offered is juice and water. Also, I'm surprised that there are no flight attendants doing their rounds to make sure passengers are buckled in.


The flight doesn't seem as long because mum and I are talking through most of it.
